South Africa’s leading annual Internet industry conference and exhibition, iWeek, is once again attracting the cream of the crop with the South African Network Operator’s Group (SAFNOG) a key partner for 2019.

SAFNOG’s primary focus is on building and sustaining regional, infrastructure-based communities throughout Southern Africa and the continent. The SAFNOG-5 conference will take place on 27 and 28 August while iWeek 2019’s dedicated ISPA (Internet Service Providers’ Association of SA) day has been set down for Monday, 26 August 2019.

This year’s installment of South Africa’s longest-running annual Internet industry event returns to a familiar iWeek venue, the Indaba Hotel & Conference Centre on William Nicol Drive in Fourways, Johannesburg. Last year, Cape Town’s foreshore hosted iWeek 2018.

Some topics for discussion on the dedicated ISPA day of iWeek 2019 include current regulatory issues, the role of ISPs in the 4th Industrial Revolution, an Internet sector CSIRT and building  the next generation of SA’s Internet engineers

While SAFNOG is a headline partner for iWeek 2019, the organisers are excited to announce that further sponsorship opportunities are available.

Attendees to iWeek each year are ISP and WISP representatives, technicians, engineers, managers and business owners. In addition, iWeek also attracts a broad selection of Internet governance stakeholders, the legal fraternity, hardware vendors, academia, representatives from non-profit organisations working in the Internet space, and important government representatives.

Sponsorships of iWeek enable organisations to market their services to the core Internet audience in South Africa, while positioning themselves as active players in the industry. Participation should be considered by equipment vendors, wholesale Internet Service Providers and providers of ISP support services. Interested parties can contact Elaine or Sarah-Jane at iweek@ispa.org.za  or check out the opportunities available here:  https://iweek.org.za/sponsorships

ISPA NPC is a non-profit company and a recognized industry body which has represented the interests of ISPs since 1996.  ISPA has co-hosted the annual iWeek industry conference since 2001, bringing together business, government, civil society and members of the public to debate technical, policy and business matters relating to the Internet sector in South Africa. ISPA works with many different partners to ensure that iWeek includes fresh and relevant content each year.
