INX-ZA operates the largest, and oldest community-run Internet exchange points in Africa. Beginning with JINX, in 1996, today there are more than 200 networks from around the world that enjoy INX’s open participation model, and interconnect at INX-ZA run Internet exchange points. Built entirely around a community-run, community-participation model, INX is fiercely proud of its neutrality as the only data-centre agnostic Internet exchange in South Africa, operating a robust network out of all the major data-centres, in each of South Africa’s largest economic regions.
