Regulatory Advocacy and Policy Submissions
ISPA has a thirty year history of participating in policy and regulatory development, and regularly makes submissions to ICASA, the DCDT and other governmental bodies on matters relevant to the internet industry. ISPA actively advocates for its ISPs, playing a crucial role in shaping South African communications policy and legislation by providing policymakers with reasoned, informed, and logical feedback on what best serves the sector.
ISPA supports its ISP members by providing easy-to-read guidance on compliance with legislation and regulations, backed by an available regulatory advisor for support and advice. ISPA is committed to improving the consumer experience within the internet industry by enforcing a strict Code of Conduct, offering a mediation service for complaints, and providing a take-down notice process to remove harmful content.
