Non-member INX application

If you would like to apply for a connection to either the Cape Town Internet exchange (CINX) or the Johannesburg Internet exchange (JINX), but you do not wish to become an ISPA member, please click on the application link below.

If you are already an ISPA member, please use the ISPA member portal to make INX port allocation requests.

If you would like to apply for ISPA membership (and also connect to the INXes), please fill out the [[application form|membership application]] form first, and once that is approved, you will be able to access the ISPA member portal to make other INX requests.

  • Before completing the form below, please make sure that you are familiar with ISPA’s INX policies. These policies govern the operation of ISPA’s Internet exchanges.
  • JINX Rosebank is at capacity and not accepting any new connections. JINX Parklands has capacity and is accepting new connections.
  • Applications can take up to a week to process.

Port Billing Notice:

The INX Policy update of 2011-06-01 includes the following clause:

16. ISPA reserves the right to charge for unused ports from the date the port was allocated to the user.

Please note that once a port and IP address is allocated the port will be deemed “live” and incur a cost even if not in active use. However, in the interests of limited-resource management, if after 30 days the port is not yet active, then it will become available for re-assignment.

Please notify the inxadmin team if there is going to be a delay in taking your port live, so reassignment can be avoided.
