Time is running out for companies that would like to sign up as Gold and Silver sponsors for iWeek 2010, South Africa’s premier conference and exhibition for the Internet industry.

The event is to be held at the Kloofzicht Lodge, Muldersdrift from 15 to 17 September. It has already attracted sponsors of the calibre of MTN Business, Vox Telecom, Liquid Telecom and Neotel. Sponsors at the event will have the opportunity to increase brand awareness among a qualified audience of delegates that includes decision makers at some of South Africa’s largest providers and users of telecoms services.

This year marks the ninth year that the Internet Service Providers’ Association of South Africa (ISPA) and UniForum SA (the co.za administrators) have hosted the iWeek conference. Representatives from Internet Service Providers, product resellers, network operators, telecom end-users, government, the ICT-focused legal fraternity and regulators will assemble at iWeek 2010 to discuss the latest challenges and opportunities for the industry.

The event attracts corporate IT and network executives, senior managers, strategists and product vendors. It is endorsed by organisations such as the Wireless Access Providers’ Association (WAPA), the Internet Society’s South Africa chapter, AfriNIC and the ZA Domain Name Authority (ZADNA).

Emerging Internet service providers and start-up Internet Cafés will find the wealth of valuable knowledge, contacts, and exposure at this event especially valuable for fast-tracking their growth. Top local and international speakers will present on a range of topical issues during the conference, including copyright battles, cybercrime, cyber warfare, privacy, filtering legislation, South African regulatory updates and wireless/fibre hybrid networks.
